Conidia

Conidia are a type of asexual reproductive spores produced by fungi. They are formed by special structures called conidiophores and serve as a means for fungi to disperse and reproduce without mating. Conidia are typically airborne, lightweight, and can colonize new environments when they land on suitable surfaces. They vary in shape, size, and color depending on the fungal species. Because of their resilience and ability to spread quickly, conidia play a significant role in fungal reproduction, ecology, and sometimes in causing allergies or infections in humans and animals.
