Congregation of the Mission (Lazarists)
The Congregation of the Mission, also known as the Lazarists, is a Catholic religious community founded in 1625 by Saint Vincent de Paul. Their mission is to serve the poor, sick, and marginalized through pastoral work, charity, and education. Members, called Lazarists or Vincentians, often work in parishes, schools, and hospitals, dedicating themselves to spiritual and material support for those in need. Their focus is on living out Christian compassion and fostering faith, particularly among underserved communities, following the teachings and example of Saint Vincent de Paul.
