Congenital Strabismus

Congenital strabismus is a condition present at birth where the eyes do not align properly, causing one or both eyes to turn inward, outward, upward, or downward. It occurs when the eye muscles or nerves controlling eye movement are not properly developed. This misalignment can affect depth perception and may lead to learning or vision problems if not treated early. Treatment options include glasses, vision therapy, or surgery to realign the eyes. Early intervention is important to help develop proper vision and prevent long-term issues.
