Congenital Kyphoscoliosis

Congenital kyphoscoliosis is a condition present at birth where the spine develops abnormally, resulting in a forward curve (kyphosis) combined with a sideways bend (scoliosis). This deformity occurs because the vertebrae (spinal bones) don't form correctly during fetal development, leading to a misaligned and curved spine. It can cause back pain, respiratory issues, and, in severe cases, affect cardiac function due to the spinal distortion. Treatment varies depending on severity and may include observation, bracing, or surgery to correct or stabilize the spine and prevent further deformity.
