Conferencia de la Paz

The Conferencia de la Paz, or Peace Conference, was a diplomatic meeting held in 1899 in The Hague, Netherlands. It brought together representatives from various nations to discuss ways to prevent war and promote international peace. The conference addressed issues like disarmament, the treatment of prisoners, and the rules of warfare. It marked one of the earliest efforts to create international agreements aimed at reducing conflict through diplomacy and cooperation among countries. Although it did not produce binding resolutions on all issues, it laid the groundwork for future peace efforts and international legal norms.
