Condorcet methods
Condorcet methods are voting systems designed to identify the candidate who would win against every other candidate in one-on-one comparisons. Voters rank candidates by preference, and the method examines all pairings to see which candidate would win most head-to-head matchups. If one candidate beats all others in these pairings, that candidate is declared the winner. This approach aims to reflect the overall most preferred candidate, emphasizing majority support across different preferences. Condorcet methods are valued for their focus on majority preferences and resistance to certain voting problems like vote splitting.
