Conditional Reflex

A conditional reflex is a learned response that occurs when a specific stimulus triggers a particular reaction, based on past experiences. It develops through conditioning, where a neutral stimulus becomes associated with a natural response. For example, if a bell rings every time food is presented, eventually the sound of the bell alone makes a dog salivate, even without food. This process explains how behaviors can develop through experience, illustrating the brain’s ability to link stimuli with appropriate responses over time.
