Conditional Green Card

A Conditional Green Card is a temporary permanent resident status granted to individuals who obtain their green card through marriage to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, or through specific investment programs. It typically lasts for two years. Before it expires, the cardholder must apply to remove the conditions by proving the marriage is genuine or that the investment was legitimate, after which they can receive a permanent, unconditional green card. This process ensures the immigrant's status is legitimate and not obtained through fraud.
