Condensation-Cured Silicone

Condensation-cured silicone is a type of silicone rubber that hardens through a chemical reaction involving moisture in the air. When mixed, it releases small molecules like alcohol or water as byproducts, which escape as the silicone cures and solidifies. This process results in a flexible, durable, and temperature-resistant material commonly used for molds, seals, and prosthetics. Unlike other silicones that cure via addition reactions, condensation-cured silicones are typically simpler to handle and produce high-precision molds but may release slight fumes during curing.
