Concorde Flight 4590

Concorde Flight 4590 was a commercial supersonic flight that crashed on July 25, 2000, shortly after takeoff from Paris. The accident occurred when a titanium strip from a preceding aircraft's tire struck the Concorde's left wing, causing a tire to rupture. This led to a burst tire and damage to the aircraft’s fuel tank, resulting in a fire. The fire and loss of control caused the plane to break apart, killing all 109 people onboard and four on the ground. The crash led to the temporary grounding of Concorde fleets and increased emphasis on safety procedures.
