concepts of space and light

Space is the vast, seemingly infinite expanse that contains everything—planets, stars, galaxies, and matter—while being mostly empty of particles. Light is a form of electromagnetic radiation that travels as waves, allowing us to see and transmit information across these distances. It moves at a constant speed—about 186,282 miles per second—and can be bent, absorbed, or reflected by objects. Together, space and light shape our understanding of the universe: light reveals distant celestial objects, and space provides the medium through which this light travels, enabling exploration and discovery.
