Computing with Words
Computing with Words (CW) is a method that allows computers to understand and process human language expressed in natural, descriptive terms rather than precise numerical data. It enables systems to interpret fuzzy, imprecise information—like "high temperature" or "moderate risk"—by translating words into mathematical models. This approach is useful in decision-making and control systems where human expertise is expressed linguistically. CW combines fuzzy logic and natural language processing to make computers more intuitive in handling real-world, vague concepts, improving automation, AI applications, and human-computer interaction.
