Compositional Data Analysis

Compositional Data Analysis (CoDA) is a method used to study data where the parts collectively make up a whole, like percentages, parts of a recipe, or different types of minerals in a sample. Since these parts are linked (an increase in one part usually means a decrease in another), CoDA focuses on the relative information between parts rather than their absolute values. It uses specialized techniques to compare and interpret these proportions meaningfully, helping to uncover patterns and relationships that might be hidden when looking at raw data alone.
