Complementary Goods
Complementary goods are products that are often used together, where the use of one enhances or depends on the other. When the demand for a product increases, the demand for its complement typically rises as well. For example, printers and ink cartridges, or coffee and sugar. If a popular new smartphone is released, accessories like cases or earphones usually see increased demand too. These goods are linked so that buying one encourages or necessitates buying the other, influencing how products are marketed and priced.
