Compay Segundo was a renowned Cuban musician and composer, best known for his role in popularizing traditional Cuban music, especially the genre called son. His real name was Máximo Francisco Repilado Muñoz. With a career spanning over seven decades, he contributed to Cuba’s cultural heritage through his charismatic performances and memorable songs.
