Community trials

Community trials are research studies conducted within entire communities rather than just individuals. They aim to evaluate how public health interventions—like vaccination programs, sanitation improvements, or health education campaigns—affect the health outcomes of the community as a whole. Researchers compare different communities, some receiving the intervention and others serving as controls, to understand the real-world impact. This approach helps determine the effectiveness of public health strategies at a population level, considering social, environmental, and behavioral factors, and guiding policies for larger-scale health improvements.
