Community Treatment Order

A Community Treatment Order (CTO) is a legal arrangement that allows individuals with mental health conditions to receive treatment while living in the community, rather than being hospitalized. It requires the person to follow a treatment plan, such as taking medication and attending appointments, often under specific conditions set by a mental health professional.
