Community Supported Fishery (CSF)

A Community Supported Fishery (CSF) is a partnership between local fishers and community members, where customers buy shares in the catch ahead of time. This provides fishermen with upfront funding and a guaranteed market, while members receive regular deliveries of fresh, locally caught seafood. It's similar to a farm share but for seafood, fostering a direct connection between consumers and fishers, supporting sustainable practices, and strengthening local economies. CSFs promote seasonality, transparency, and community involvement in the seafood supply chain.
