Community Restorative Boards
Community Restorative Boards (CRBs) are local groups that help address minor offenses through dialogue and reconciliation. When someone commits a small crime or misbehavior, the offender and, sometimes, affected community members come together in a guided meeting. The goal is to understand the impact of the action, take responsibility, and agree on steps to repair the harm—like apologies or community service. CRBs focus on restoring relationships, accountability, and community safety, often providing a more constructive alternative to traditional punishment. They promote healing and responsible behavior by fostering understanding and cooperation.
