Community Museums Ontario

Community Museums Ontario (CMO) is an organization that supports local museums across Ontario. It helps small and regional museums develop their collections, improve their exhibits, and provide engaging programs for visitors. CMO offers resources, training, and networking opportunities to strengthen community museums’ capacity to tell their unique stories. By doing so, it encourages more people to learn about their local history, culture, and heritage through accessible, well-managed museum experiences. In essence, CMO acts as a support network dedicated to enhancing the quality and sustainability of community-based museums throughout Ontario.
