Community Cats

Community cats are feral or stray cats that live outdoors, often in neighborhoods, farms, or urban areas. They are usually unsocialized with humans but adapt well to the environment. These cats often form colonies and depend on nearby food sources, like dumpsters or intentionally provided food. Many community cats are healthy and can thrive without human intervention, but they are at risk from hazards like traffic, disease, and weather. Efforts such as trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs aim to manage populations humanely, reducing suffering and preventing overpopulation without trapping or removing healthy cats.
