Community cat programs

Community cat programs are organized efforts to manage and care for feral and stray cats in a community. These programs often involve humanely trapping cats, spaying or neutering them to prevent overpopulation, and returning them to their original environment—a practice called Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). They may also include providing food, shelter, and medical care to improve cats’ well-being. The goal is to reduce nuisance behaviors and the number of unwanted cats, while allowing the cats to live healthier lives and coexist peacefully with residents.
