Communities In Schools (CIS)

Communities In Schools (CIS) is a nonprofit organization that helps students succeed by connecting them to essential support and resources they might lack outside of school, such as mentorship, healthcare, and family support. Operating within schools, CIS partners with educators, families, and community organizations to address students' social, emotional, and academic needs. The goal is to create a safe and supportive environment that enables students to stay in school, improve their performance, and graduate. By tackling barriers beyond academics, CIS promotes overall student well-being and long-term success.
