Communist Youth International (Komsomol)
The Communist Youth International (Komsomol) was a global organization established in 1918 by the Soviet Union to promote communist ideas among young people. It aimed to engage youth in building socialism, encouraging political education, activism, and loyalty to the Soviet state. Operating in various countries, Komsomol sought to spread communist ideology, foster international solidarity among young communists, and prepare future leaders. It functioned as both a youth wing of the Communist Party and an instrument of Soviet influence abroad, emphasizing discipline, collectivism, and revolutionary commitment. The organization disbanded in the early 1990s after the Soviet Union's collapse.
