Communist revolution in China

The Communist Revolution in China was a political upheaval during the early 20th century, leading to the Communist Party's rise to power in 1949. Rooted in widespread social inequality, economic hardship, and dissatisfaction with the Qing Dynasty and subsequent governments, it was fueled by ideas from Marxist-Leninism. Led by Mao Zedong, the Communists organized a guerrilla struggle against rival factions, including the Nationalists (Kuomintang). After years of warfare and civil unrest, they successfully established the People's Republic of China, aiming to create a socialist society, land reforms, and reduce inequality—fundamentally transforming Chinese society and governance.
