Communist Party of Nepal (UML)

The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), or CPN (UML), is a major political party in Nepal that advocates for socialist principles, including economic equality, social justice, and national development. Founded in 1991 through the unification of communist groups, it seeks to implement policies based on Marxist-Leninist ideology within Nepal’s democratic framework. The party has played a significant role in the country’s politics, often forming government coalitions, and aims to reduce inequality, promote land reform, and ensure social welfare, while operating within Nepal's constitutional democracy.
