Common Stocking

Common stock represents ownership in a company, giving shareholders voting rights on key issues and a stake in the company's profits through dividends. When you buy common stock, you're purchasing a piece of the company, which can increase or decrease in value based on the company's performance and market conditions. Shareholders also have the potential for capital gains if the stock appreciates. However, in the event of a company's insolvency, common stockholders are last to recover any remaining assets after debts are paid. It’s a way to participate in a company's growth and success, with associated risks and rewards.
