Common Security and Defense Policy
The Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) is an agreement among European Union countries to work together on matters of security and defense. It aims to coordinate military and civilian efforts to protect peace, prevent conflicts, and respond to crises both within Europe and globally. By sharing resources and planning jointly, member states enhance their collective ability to maintain stability, support international peacekeeping missions, and address security threats, all while respecting each country's sovereignty. This collaboration strengthens the EU’s capacity to contribute effectively to global security efforts.
