Common Rail System
A Common Rail System is a modern fuel delivery technology used in diesel engines that improves efficiency and reduces emissions. It features a high-pressure fuel rail (a shared reservoir) that supplies fuel to multiple injectors. The system uses a precise electronic control unit to manage injection timing and quantity, allowing for more accurate and consistent fuel delivery. This results in smoother engine performance, better fuel economy, and lower pollutant emissions. Unlike older systems, the common rail provides a continuous supply of pressurized fuel, enabling multiple injections per cycle and more efficient combustion.
