Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR)
The Common Market of the South, or MERCOSUR, is a regional trade bloc in South America that promotes economic integration among its member countries—Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela (currently suspended). It aims to facilitate free movement of goods, services, and people, reduce trade barriers, and coordinate policies to boost economic growth and development. MERCOSUR encourages cooperation so member nations can compete more effectively globally, enhance regional stability, and improve living standards through collaborative economic efforts.
