Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR)
The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) is a body of experts established by the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR). Its role is to monitor how countries implement these rights, such as access to healthcare, education, adequate living standards, and work rights. Countries that are part of the treaty submit regular reports to the CESCR, detailing their progress and challenges. The committee reviews these reports, offers recommendations, and promotes policies to ensure the realization of economic, social, and cultural rights for all people.
