Combined heat and power (CHP)
Combined Heat and Power (CHP), also known as cogeneration, is a system that produces both electricity and useful heat simultaneously from a single energy source, such as natural gas or biomass. Unlike traditional methods where electricity and heat are generated separately, CHP units capture and use the heat that would normally be wasted during electricity production. This increases overall efficiency, reduces fuel consumption, and lowers emissions. CHP is often used in industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities to maximize energy savings and provide reliable power and heat supply.
