Colpopexy
Colpopexy is a surgical procedure used to repair and support the top of the vagina or uterus when they have become loose or dropped, often due to childbirth, aging, or weakness of pelvic tissues. The surgery involves attaching the vaginal or uterine vault to strong structures inside the pelvis, such as the sacrum (the base of the spine), to restore proper support and prevent prolapse. This helps reduce symptoms like pressure, bulging, or discomfort, improving bladder and bowel function and overall quality of life.
