Colorado Desert

The Colorado Desert is a dry, low-lying area in southeastern California, part of the larger Sonoran Desert. It features hot temperatures, minimal rainfall, and unique plant and animal life adapted to arid conditions. Covering around 7,000 square miles, it includes parts of national parks like Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. The desert's landscape includes sand dunes, rugged mountains, and washes that temporarily fill with water after rains. Despite harsh conditions, it supports diverse species and offers striking natural beauty, making it an interesting area for ecological study and outdoor recreation.
