Color Rendering
Color rendering describes how accurately a light source displays the colors of objects compared to natural daylight. It’s measured by the Color Rendering Index (CRI), which ranges from 0 to 100; the higher the CRI, the better the light reveals true, vibrant colors. Good color rendering is important for activities requiring accurate color perception, such as art, photography, and retail. Different light sources have different color rendering qualities; for example, sunlight has a CRI of 100, while some artificial lights have lower scores. Choosing lighting with a high CRI helps objects look natural and true to their real colors.
