Colon Imaging

Colon imaging refers to various techniques used to visualize the inside of the colon, or large intestine, to detect abnormalities such as polyps, tumors, or other gastrointestinal issues. Common methods include colonoscopy, where a flexible tube with a camera is inserted into the rectum, and CT colonography (virtual colonoscopy), which uses X-rays to create detailed images. These procedures help doctors assess colon health, often screening for colorectal cancer and guiding treatment decisions. Regular screening is important for early detection and prevention of serious conditions.
