Colon Fluoroscopy

Colon fluoroscopy is a medical imaging technique used to examine the colon, or large intestine. During the procedure, a patient is given a contrast material to make the colon visible on X-ray images. The patient may be asked to change positions while images are taken in real-time, allowing doctors to see how well the colon is functioning and to identify any abnormalities, such as polyps or inflammation. This test is often part of routine screenings for colon health and helps in diagnosing conditions like colorectal cancer or inflammatory bowel disease.
