Colon (Colón)

The colon (Colón) is a punctuation mark (:) used to introduce a list, explanation, or elaboration that follows. It often appears after a complete sentence to signal that more information is coming. For example, in "She brought three items: a book, a pen, and a notebook," the colon introduces the list. The colon can also be used in titles and to separate hours from minutes in time (e.g., 3:45). Its primary role is to guide the reader toward additional details or clarification related to the preceding statement.
