Collective Perception
Collective perception is the ability of a group—such as animals, humans, or machines—to share information about their environment to improve awareness and decision-making. Instead of relying solely on individual senses, members communicate or exchange data, allowing the group to form a more accurate, comprehensive understanding of their surroundings. This shared awareness enhances the group's ability to respond effectively to challenges, coordinate actions, and adapt to changes. Examples include flocks of birds coordinating flight, sensor networks working together, or teams collaborating to solve complex problems.
