Colic

Colic is a condition characterized by frequent, intense crying or fussiness in an otherwise healthy infant. It typically affects babies under three months old and often occurs in the late afternoon or evening. The exact cause isn’t fully understood, but it’s believed to stem from digestive discomfort, gas, or an immature nervous system. While distressing for parents, colic usually resolves by around 3 to 4 months of age with time and soothing techniques. If concerns arise, consulting a healthcare provider is recommended to rule out other possible issues and receive guidance on management.
