Cole-Cole plot
A Cole-Cole plot is a graphical tool used in electrical and material science to analyze how a material responds to alternating current (AC). It plots the material's impedance (resistance to AC) in a complex form, with the real part (resistance) on the x-axis and the imaginary part (reactance) on the y-axis. The shape of the curve reveals insights into the material’s relaxation processes, such as how electricity is stored and dissipated within it. Typically, a semi-circular shape indicates a uniform relaxation process, helping scientists understand the material’s electrical properties and behavior.
