Cocoa tree

A cocoa tree, scientifically known as Theobroma cacao, is a tropical tree native to Central and South America. It produces cacao pods, which contain seeds called cacao beans. These beans are fermented, dried, and processed to make chocolate. The tree thrives in warm, humid climates with rich, well-drained soil. It has large, fragrant white flowers that grow directly on the trunk and branches. Cocoa trees are important for the chocolate industry and require careful cultivation and maintenance to produce high-quality beans. They typically grow to about 10-15 meters (33-50 feet) tall and can live for several decades.
