Cochlear implant models
Cochlear implant models vary mainly in their design, features, and technological advancements. They consist of external parts—such as a microphone, speech processor, and transmitter—that pick up sounds and convert them into digital signals. These signals are sent wirelessly to the internal implant, which stimulates the auditory nerve directly, enabling sound perception. Different models may offer features like improved sound quality, advanced noise reduction, or compatibility with smartphones. While all cochlear implants serve the same purpose—to restore hearing—they differ in processing technology, durability, and user interface, helping to meet diverse individual needs and preferences.
