Coastal Landforms

Coastal landforms are natural features created by the interaction of land and ocean, shaped by processes like waves, currents, and erosion. Examples include beaches, formed by the accumulation of sand and pebbles; cliffs and sea stacks, created when rocks are eroded by the sea; and spits, which are elongated ridges of sand extending into the water. These features vary based on the geology, wave energy, and sediment supply of the area. Coastal landforms continuously evolve, reflecting ongoing natural processes that sculpt the shoreline over time.
