CO2 pipeline network

A CO₂ pipeline network is a system of underground pipes that transports carbon dioxide from sources like power plants or industrial facilities to storage sites. This process, known as carbon capture and storage (CCS), helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by capturing CO₂ before it reaches the atmosphere. The pipelines are designed to safely and efficiently move compressed CO₂ over long distances, often in a dense web connecting emission sources to geological storage reservoirs deep underground. This technology plays an important role in efforts to mitigate climate change by preventing CO₂ from contributing to global warming.
