Co-Axial escapement

The Co-Axial escapement is a watch movement technology developed by George Daniels and adopted by Omega to improve accuracy and reduce maintenance. Unlike traditional escapements that rely on sliding contact between components, the Co-Axial design uses a system of three pallets that separate the locking and impulse functions, minimizing friction between parts. This results in less wear over time, better stability of the watch's timekeeping, and longer intervals between servicing. In essence, it enhances the efficiency and longevity of mechanical watches by improving the interaction of critical parts inside the movement.
