Cluster A Disorders

Cluster A disorders are a group of mental health conditions characterized by odd, eccentric, or unusual thinking and behavior. They include paranoid personality disorder (suspicion and mistrust of others), schizoid personality disorder (detachment from social relationships and limited emotional expression), and schizotypal personality disorder (social discomfort, odd beliefs, and unusual thinking). People with these disorders may find it difficult to connect with others or trust people, often appearing peculiar or aloof. These patterns are persistent and can interfere with daily life and relationships, but they are distinct from psychotic illnesses like schizophrenia.
