clownfish and anemones
Clownfish and anemones have a mutualistic relationship, meaning both benefit. Clownfish, colorful marine fish, live among the tentacles of sea anemones, which are soft, stinging coral-like creatures. The anemone provides protection from predators, as its stinging cells deter most fish, while the clownfish, immune to the stings, gain a safe habitat and feeding scraps. In return, clownfish help the anemone by cleaning away debris and parasites, and may even lure prey toward it. This symbiosis allows both to thrive, with clownfish gaining safety and the anemone receiving cleaning services.
