Cloud condensation nuclei

Cloud condensation nuclei are tiny particles, such as dust, pollen, or pollution, suspended in the atmosphere. These particles provide a surface for water vapor to condense upon, forming water droplets that make up clouds. Without these particles, water vapor would have a harder time turning into cloud droplets, especially in clean, pollution-free air. Essentially, CNs act as the seeds that help clouds form, influencing weather patterns and climate by controlling where and how clouds develop.
