Clinical Endodontics
Clinical endodontics is a specialized area of dentistry focused on diagnosing and treating issues inside the tooth's root system. When the pulp (inner tissue) becomes infected or damaged due to decay, injury, or cracks, endodontic treatment—commonly known as root canal therapy—is used to remove the diseased tissue, disinfect the root canals, and seal them to prevent further infection. This helps save the natural tooth, relieve pain, and restore oral health. Endodontics ensures the preservation of teeth that might otherwise need extraction, maintaining function and comfort in the mouth.
